The CRL Glass Chipping Tool is used by glaziers and craftsmen in the furniture industry to make "scallop" chips in plate glass from 1/8 to 3/4 inch (3.1 to 19 millimeter) thick. Use on tabletops or any place where a decorative "chipped" look is desired. This is the tool used for this type of work throughout the industry. The CRL Glass Chipping Tool adjusts to any glass thickness and "chip" size that is desired. Angle of chip is adjustable, also.

This is a Mirart TP33 with a CRL label stuck over the Mirart label.That being said the tool is adjustable and the included instructions are useful in creating artistic scalloped edges in glass and mirrors. I've found (not to my surprise) that some grinding is needed to soften any sharp edges that are created. I've just started using it for a few trial projects - so expect to learn more as I go along. I gave it 3 stars - based on my perceptions of cost versus utility - even though the build quality is very good.
